I teach for a living, not everyday, but when I’m not teaching I’m working with students, and developing courses. The issue is unless you teach it look easy. Hey I just stand up in front of a group and talk all day, and they pay me for that. Sounds easy doesn’t it?
When I finish a day of teaching I’m usually exhausted. When I come home everyone things I’m in a bad mood because I’m not saying anything. Truth is I’m just all talked out and I’m extremely tired. I guess almost being 50 doesn’t help. lol
When you teach everyday I think you body adjust to it. It’s when it’s only 1 day a week or so that your body doesn’t get used to. I think mental exhaustion is almost worse than physical exhaustion.
If you know a teacher out there try and understand it a tough job or at least it is to me sometimes. But, don’t get me wrong… standing in an Air Conditioned room talking all day is much better that working out on a roof all day. I tired not stupid.
