Adventure doesn’t have an age limit, although at 62, I’ll admit I prefer mine with a decent chair, hot coffee, and a campsite that doesn’t require mountain-goat legs to reach.

Red Lantern Adventures is about getting out on the road, wandering down old back-roads, hiking quiet trails, camping under the stars, and finding the history, oddball places, mysteries, and good stories hiding just around the next curve.

I grew up believing there was always something worth seeing over the next hill, and I still do. I may move a little slower than I used to, make a few more stops, and occasionally wonder why I thought that trail looked “easy” on the map, but that’s part of the fun. You don’t have to travel halfway around the world to find an adventure. Sometimes all it takes is a full tank of gas, a little curiosity, and enough sense to turn around before the road gets too stupid.

So, grab your coffee, lace up your boots, and come along. The red lantern is lit, and there’s still plenty of road left to explore.
