You Can Never Go Home Again!

I learned this at the very young age of 19. At age 16 I moved out and moved in with my grandmother. For over a year I didn’t communicate with my parents at all. Then we got on a friendly relationship after that. I moved back home sometime after I had already graduated high school so I was in my mid 19’s.

When I moved back home for the first couple of weeks it was good, but then I got the feeling I was a stranger that had out stayed their welcome.  I felt as if I was disturbing their normal life and that I was an outsider. That is when I realized what was meant by, “You Can Never Go Home Again”. I had grown accustom to my freedom and they had gotten use to the fact I wasn’t around anymore.

If I could do it over I would have never moved out of home. I would have stayed until I was kicked out. Free rent, free food, laundry done for me, no electric or cable bill, life was great. All I had to do is help out a little and follow a few rules.

I wonder how many others have felt the same way I did when they went back home after a long absence.  To have the feeling of family, and the feeling of belonging and to go to feeling like an outsider.

So to all the young people out there… When you get pissed for taking out the trash and think, I’ll just move out. Do yourself a favor, Take out the trash, do the dishes, and wash your parents cars! (without being asked)

Re-doing all the photos on my walls

Now I know that it doesn’t sound real exciting to most but I’m redoing all my pictures in my office with pictures that I’ve taken. I have up some W.C. Fields and Three Stooges poster that I’ve have since… dam the Army days. So it’s time to upgrade to some of my own pictures.

I’m very excited about the fact I’ll be able to take more photos. I want some of my family but I also want some of my town and the area that I live in. I want some of the boat marinas, the stores, and whatever else describes my area.  I’m really going to have to think about that one because I’m confused as well. I’ve got a few day to think about it… LOL Maybe my motorcycle, me and my motorcycle, my wife and I behind our bikes, the possibilities are endless.

I’m deciding what is going to be on my walls till possibly the day I die.

Getting Caught in the Crossfire

hraHDDoes anyone else ever feel you’re caught in the crossfire when you do exactly what you was told to do. I was told I get paid X amount for doing something. I then do it and the person who directed me tells me to invoice an amount and submit that to bookkeeping for pay. when I do bookkeeping seems to have an issue with it.

WTF… if there is a problem with what I’m doing don’t ask me to do it. Don’t tell me one thing and then have a problem with it. I hate feeling I’m the bad guy for doing exactly what I was asked to do. I feel as if I’m trying to cheat someone or do something that is dishonest.

Well I guess it’s just one of those days. Hopefully everything get’s worked out and tomorrow is a better day! Maybe I’ll just stick to my job and not volunteer anything that isn’t part of my job.

OK, sorry for all the bitching and whining. Yes, I’ll take a pound of cheese with that. He who is low on the totem pole gets shit on.

Exhaustion is catching up

I guess I’ve been going full throttle and today it caught up to me. I laid down for a few minutes and two hours went by.. I didn’t want to get up then but forced myself to and now all I want to do is go back to bed. Does this happen to anyone else, days were you are just sleepy all day.

Well I’ve got a lot to do this week so it’s going to have to wear off by tomorrow. I’ve got some books to work on, course to get online, and a bunch of other stuff to accomplish.  I’m thinking it just because I’ve not been getting good sleep over the weekend, at least that is what I’m hoping!

Other that that I wished my Mom a Happy 76th Birthday! YEA Mom… Still kickin’ and in good heath! She was born in 1938, before Television, computers, cell phones, automatic transmissions, ect. To me it’s amazing how much she has seen in her lifetime.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

Bellamy Salute the American Flag

pledging_allegiance_to_the_American_flag

I heard and saw this guy talk about this photo, about how there was NAZI’s in America… Well dude, you are a pure dumb-ass, this was how the flag was saluted until 1942. It was called the “Bellamy salute”. Because it has similarities of the NAZI salute they changed it after that to be the hand over the heart. I don’t mind mistakes but I hate idiots and dumb-ass remarks without making an attempt to verify anything.

Remember the words “Under God” wasn’t added until 1954.

Camera Ticket in Lakeland, Florida

downloadMy son and I was coming through Lakeland last night around midnight. We were on Hey 98 and came up to a light and it went from green – yellow – red so fast my son had to slam on the breaks in order to stop. We laughed and said, WTF? Well a couple of lights later we were coming close and it turned yellow, now we were going the speed limit and if we had tried to stop we would have slid half way through the intersection. So my son did what I would have done and kept going. The light changed so fast to red we were underneath it and that’s when we saw a bright flash. I’m sure I’ll get a $158 ticket in the mail next week.

Most tickets I get I deserve. I’ve gotten a few speeding tickets and didn’t bitch to much because I was speeding.  I don’t think this was fair, they have the lights set to change very quickly to increase the number of fines. I think this is just a method of bringing in revenue and a very dishonest one at that. Well Lakeland if I get the ticket I will pay it, all $158 of it, but that’ll be the last time you’ll get any money from me. I will NOT go through Lakeland again, I will not shop, eat, sight see, or anything else there. I won’t patronize any shops at all in your city (even online), and try to talk anyone else I know of from buying or going there as well. I for one think what you’ve done is dishonest and crooked. I should expect it with your corrupt police force. So Lakeland you’ll the $158 and I hope you feel it’s a victory, because after that YOU CAN SUCK MY DICK!

Inspection in West Palm Beach

unnamedI got up and went into the office this morning and then at 11 am left for Palm Beach Gardens. We got down there and did the 3 hour inspection and just got home at 1:30 am in the morning and I’m very tired so I’m going to sleep.

We did stop in Lake land Florida at the Hooters and ate dinner at 11:00 pm at night. That makes for one long freaking’ day!

I am so tired…till tomorrow!

Taught Home Inspectors Today

IMG_5934My class went great today for home inspectors. Everyone seem to give great compliments on how well the class went. It’s one of those classes that I almost need two day to complete. There is so much information in the class that we need to cover and only a few hours to do it in.

The class was a great group, very appreciative for all the extra stuff I went over with them. It always feels good when they come up and shake you have and thank you for the class. I realize it’s my job but never the less it’s an ego boost.

Now if we could only get more women in class…

Strange Things You See

unnamed (1)How often do you see strange and unusual things? I don’t often but wish I did more.  I try to even follow the website “RoadSideAmerica.com” and haven even paid for their app.  It’s amazing to me how many dinosaurs, muffler mans, tiny churches, ect. there are in my little area of the world.

My wife sent me this photo of a “Food Lyon” giant cart. She knew I would appreciate it. I’ll stop and talk to “Elvis Riding a Bike” or “A guy dressed in robes dragging a huge cross”, and anyone else that is strange. The way I see it “THEY REALLY WANT ATTENTION”.  So it’s not odd to stop and talk to them that is what they’re doing it for. The Elvis guy just thought he was Elvis, and the guy with the cross was a pilgrimage for the Lord.  But he took the time to stop and pray with me and I got some photos. lol

So what about everyone else, do you stop to talk to odd balls going down the road?  I like to stop and talk with them and get their story and hopefully get their photograph.

So what about everyone else.

300: Rise of an Empire

My son and I went and watched “300: Rise of an Empire”  tonight. I sort of like the first one but the movie did tie into the first movie and it was action packed. Very rarely was there moment without action in it.  The movie also left an opening for another movies as well.

Instead of the movie being just about the Spartans it was about all Greeks.  They were fighting on one front with the original 300 was fighting on the other.  If the other one comes out I’ll go see it at the theater!

Sometimes it’s not the movies that’s playing it’s spending time with my son!
