The Lady from Shanghai

(1947) Starring Rita Hayworth and Orson Welles. Not a great movie but staged in tropics and Orson Welles doesn’t make a bad movie. It’s a suspense mystery and it worth a late night watch.  Did not end the way I had predicted.

The Third Man

The Third Man (1949) With Joseph Cotten, Orson Wells, and Trevor Howard. Great black and white movie. Excellent work with sound and lighting. It has friendship, betrayal, love story, and mystery. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

12 Angry Men

A great movie made in 1957 about a jury that once convened fined the facts are not so factual.  Once man (Henry Fonda) votes not guilty against the other 11 men. They all have to agree one way or another so the discussions begin.  I would highly recommend this movie to anyone.

Wolfman

This was the new The Wolfman (2010). I love the old black and whites and this one stayed true to those.  It’s hard to beat Lon Chaney Jr., Clude Rains, and Bela Lugosi who stared in The 1941 Wolfman but the special effects were very cool. It’s worth a watch for a late night Friday night movie.

Apocalypto

It was a good movie but nothing to what I had expected.  Great documentary that showed what the end of the Mayan civilization looked like.  As I watched it though, I thought that this was the civilization who is predicting the end of the world December 21, 2012 ?

The movie is worth a watch. It is sub-titled but it has to be.
