I awoke early and video an introductory show… and then forgot to put my memory card back into my camera. So all day I’ve been taking video of stupid pranks and not recording anything. It was karma having an April Fools joke on myself. lol

It was a great day all in all. We have a great lunch, got a bunch of work done and my son and I went to the last photoshop class. It was a really good 4 week class. It was 2 hours per day and every Wednesday for 4 weeks. I didn’t think I would learn as much as I did but I was very Thankful I went and Thanks John for a great class.

I’ve been doing this for 7 days to see if the items looked like the photos. I also did a taste test and added that too it. I’d love to hear what everyone else thinks.

Some items failed and I didn’t care for their taste, but some items did OK. I tried to get items that I never had before, except the hard taco.

Before we bash the fast food restaurant do a taste test for yourself and be honest. Eat it there where it is fresh and if there is a problem with it see if they can fix it. Where else can you eat for a few dollars.

Item 7 – Day 7

Crunchy Taco

A crunchy, corn taco shell filled with seasoned beef, crisp shredded lettuce, and real cheddar cheese. Yes it’s just the plain ol’ Hard Taco

My Hard Taco

Looks – I only gave it a 3 out of 5 but for a $1.00 taco they did a pretty good job. It was not soggy at all.

The only item I gave a 5 out of 5 paws. With some fire sauce (fake hot sauce) it tasted GREAT. Not the best hard taco out there but unless I want to drive 2 hours it’s good.

Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes

Golden potatoes topped with warm nacho cheese sauce, and reduced-fat sour cream.

My Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes

I give them 4 out of 5 paws for both looks and taste. The website photo was in a nice dark glass looking bowl and the ones I got was in a plastic cup but that was OK. They looked like the picture in the restaurant and tasted pretty good. My son ate 3/4 of the but what I got was good. I would order these again.

Cinnabon Delights

Warm, golden bite-sized pastries filled with Cinnabon frosting and covered with Makara cinnamon sugar.

Looks – They did look a little greasy and not as much filling.

Taste – Good God these should be illegal… Over the top in taste. Thank goodness they don’t sell these by the dozen or I’d be hurt.

Item 3 – Day 3

Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch – Fiery

Warm, pillowy flat-bread covered in a melted three-cheese blend, wrapped around a Doritos Fiery taco and topped with a zesty Pepper Jack sauce.

We finally found one that looks pretty close to the picture and taste good. My son and I both liked the spicy Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch. This may be the all time favorite. (so far)

If I would have cleaned it up a little it would have looked very close.

I would even give this a 4.5 paw prints. This is my top item to have at Taco Bell from now on.

My son and I shared some Taco Bell tonight to see if it would look like the picture they advertise. I need to say I like “Taco Bell” for a fast food Mexican Restaurant. So I’m no TB hater. We’re getting an item a night for a 7 days!

Item 1 – Day 1 :

XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito – Chicken

The XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito is our biggest burrito yet, STUFT full of all white-meat-chicken, a three cheese blend, hearty beans, reduced-fat sour cream, premium Latin rice, chunky guacamole, avocado ranch and pico de gallo, wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla.

I think it is a FAIL… it did not look like the picture nor did it taste all that great. My son and I both agree that it only gets 2 out of 5 Paws, if that. Will never get again!

The Hobbit – The Battle of the Five Armies

Well I’m a Lord of the Rings fan, so the Hobbit series has to be great as well. I’ve read the books and thought Peter Jackson did an excellent job extracting the printed information and making the stories come alive. Yes I do understand that Jackson added some to it, but heck 1 book was three long movies. What he added didn’t take away from the original story line.

He did write in a few characters that still have me scratching my head. I think he just wanted to connect the hobbit to the Lord of the Rings a little more. But it really didn’t matter, I loved the movies. I enjoyed watching the Hobbit go on another adventure. It was very entertaining and at the end of it all that was what was important to me.

So Yes, I love all three movies of the Hobbit… There and Back!

Dog ran away

My dog ran away for a month and came back. At Christmas of 2014 our border collie, Merlin, disappeared. We figured we’d wait a few days and he’d come back. Well with everything that was happening with Christmas and the new year I didn’t get around to really posting anything about him until 3 weeks later. I didn’t expect we’d ever see him again but under pressure from my wife I posted him on craigslist and on Facebook. After a couple of days my wife was in the back yard and he came through a hole in the fence. WTF… after a month? They fixed the holes and he’s been here every since. I was getting used to the fact he was gone…LOL

My New 2014 STX

I really love my new truck. My 2005 red truck had a small v8 engine and this one has the larger one and what a difference in performance. I don’t think I’ve liked a truck as much as I like this one! It’s a 2014 F150, V8 engine, auto, all power, STX Sport.
