Things to do in Spring Hill, Florida
If you don't already know, Spring Hill isn't exactly a metropolis, filled with glamorous people, centuries of history, historical landmarks, and exotic nightlife. But we do what we can! If you know of "Things to Do" here in Spring Hill, send me an invite and I'll show up take some photos and add it to the site.
It belongs to Florida's Nature Coast. Spring Hill is just now growing up into it own little city. We have stores, restaurants, movies theaters, bowling alleys, and a community theatre.
- The Spring Hill Dinosaurs - We have a few Dinosaurs here in Spring Hill. They are located on Hwy U.S. 19. I came to the area back in 1992 and the first thing I noticed was these 2 dinos from the past. I immediately used them as landmarks.
- Weeki Wachee Springs and Buccaneer Bay - At the corner of Hwy U.S. 19 and Hwy 50. Since 1947, the mermaids of Weeki Wachee have been entertaining audiences from around the world. Buccaneer Bay is a local water park for Spring Hill. Elvis, Don Knotts, Esther Williams, and Arthur Godfrey are some who came Weeki Wachee.
- Bowling Lanes - Mariners and Spring Hill Lanes. Both bowling alleys are lively places on the week night and the weekends.
- Spring Hill Cinemas - Spring Hill 8 has of course 8 theaters
- County Line Amusement Park - It's no Disney, but it's not bad to spend some time with the kids there. Go-Karts, Batting Cages, Mini Golf, Inflatable Bounce Houses, Water Slides, Arcade, & More!
- Stage West Community Theatre - An outstanding community theatre. I've watched many awesome productions there. I'm glad to have them as part of our community.
- Hernando Beach and Local Parks - It wouldn't be Florida without a beach. We're not a Daytona or Panama City but a family oriented local beach.
- The Infamous "4 Corners" - The local teen hangout! It's at the intersection of Spring Hill Drive & Mariner Blvd.
- Nature Coast Botanical Gardens - A beautiful botanical garden right off Spring Hill Drive, off Parker Ave. You can just walk around, guided tours, weddings, parties, etc.
