History of Spring Hill, Florida
Spring Hill is home to approximately 92,144 in 2007 by the United States Census. A guesstimate of about 100,000 in 2012. Spring Hill is part of Florida's Nature Coast. Even though you'll read that Spring Hill was founded in 1967, this map from 1856 already showed Spring Hill existed before that time. While this will continue to be an argument, it was OFFICIALLY founded by the Deltona Corporation in 1967. Whether it was 1856 or 1967 Spring Hill is a Great Area to live in today!
Hernando County, 1856
Spring Hill is considered a "suburb of Tampa," a suburban area from which many people commute to larger cities like St. Petersburg, Tampa, or even Orlando for work. In other words, Spring Hill has grown up and now host malls, chain restaurants, gas stations, and many fast food chains.
